9 weeks

Our little guy is officially not a 'newborn' anymore. It's hard to believe that it's been 2 whole months. It's strange to think that we didn't know he was a boy or girl just 9 weeks ago because it feels like he's always been a part of our family.

Friday was a school holiday for Amelia so the kids got some extra play time together. They spent the rainy morning out on the porch painting their pumpkins.

They enjoyed how they turned out

Amelia is still in love with her baby brother and is such a good little helper with him.

Friday we also had a visit from a friend of mine who had a little girl this summer, so she's only about 2 months older than Lewis. It was his first playdate! Here's how it went:

Hailey got on the playmat with him. At first, Lewis was oblivious and more interested in the rattle above him.
Hailey is interested, again Lewis pretends not to notice her and gives her the silent treatment...
So Hailey took a more direct approach...
But in the end they decided to be friends.

So Friday night they carved the big pumpkin that they gave us for free when we bought the two little pumpkins at Trinity's pumpkin patch.

This little guy sleeps so well in his swing.
We've tried putting him down in the crib, but he only likes to sleep on his tummy or all swaddled up.
And finally! I caught a smile on camera!

Monday, on Halloween, me and the boys went to a playdate with Trinity MOPS. Grant wore his Woody costume and Amelia's Bullseye costume too and went as Woody riding Bullseye. He galloped all over the room and the other kids chased him.

I tried to get a picture of him and his buddy Brock, but they wouldn't pose for me so I had to go with candid. Too cute! They are little buddies.
Monday night we went over to the Malpelis' house to do some Trick o Treating. And we finally got a picture of all 5 cousins together.
Lewis was dressed as a puppy dog. Originally I wanted Amelia to go as Bo Peep (in Toy Story she's Woody's girlfriend) and I wanted Lewis to be a little lamb. It would have been too adorable, and Amelia finally agreed to it because it would make me happy. But I couldn't ever find a lamb costume without pink on it. I looked for Bullseye costumes but online they were all like $60. Finally I found one in Jacksonville on craigslist for not too much and my mom picked it up for me. Amelia was super excited about it. Lewis was just going to go as a pumpkin in the 'My little pumpkin' outfit both the other kids wore until I found this doggie costume on sale for $4.99 at Children's Place. It was a 0-6 month costume, but you can see it was really big! We kept joking that he looked like a big fluffy pillow! At least he was comfy :o)
Travis was Harry Potter and was so funny, he kept doing 'spells' and Kevin played along.
Grant's cowboy boots even said 'Andy' on the bottom of one of them, just like in the movie. He thought that was so cool.

The two little animal cousins. Travis made a cute froggie.
My sweet nephew! He finally smiled at me! He's at that age where he knows his mommy and I'm not her, so I get viewed with suspicion most of the time. Love those eyes!
And our cute little doggie pillow, haha!
